Jackson Hole skiing and snowboarding are world-class. “The Big One” is revered by expert skiers throughout the world. Known for its steep terrain, consistent fall line, deep, light powder and endless backcountry, Jackson Hole permits beginners and intermediates to excel at their own pace on a variety of groomed runs and open bowls. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is made up of two mountains, Apres Vous and Rendezvous, including over 2,500 acres of in-bounds ski terrain. “AV” is known as the intermediate mountain, with wide open groomers allowing fast laps on the high speed Apres Vous Quad. The tad more adventurous and halfpipe and park riders will find a more secluded terrain. The base of “AV” flattens into gentle beginner slopes for the novice. There’s also an open backcountry gate system accessing over 3,000 acres. Rendezvous Mountain attracts the die-hard skiers who seek deep powder and expert terrain. Extreme riders attack the snow in the narrow chutes, along the vertical faces, bowls, couloirs and glades. Advanced intermediate groomers cruise here as well, shooting the runs and exploring the options. Enjoy 38 expert runs, 20 intermediate runs, and 8 beginner runs. The 63-passenger aerial tram transports skiers from bottom to top in 12 minutes. Or ride the eight pax high speed gondola, a variety of chairlifts, or the magic carpet! Jackson Hole also touts a Ski and Snowboard School with individual instruction, race clinics, guide service and Wild West Adrenaline Camp Series-Camps for skiers and snowboarders.
