The wonderful ambiance of many of the hotels in Jackson Hole blurs the line between hotel, resorts, and lodges
Whether you're looking for a high end hotel with all the amenities or you're looking for a basic, clean safe to sleep until the slopes open up again, you're sure to find exactly what you're looking for in when it comes to Jackson Hole hotels.
Traditional Chain Hotels: Even when they're associated with a national chain, something about being in Jackson Hole brings out their own quirky personalities.

Private Hotels: Privately owned hotels offer many of the same amenities you'd find in a traditional chain hotel in Jackson Hole. In addition they provide one-of-a-kind ambiance and a level of service that only a dedicated local owner can provide.
- The Wort Hotel in Jackson officially opened in 1941 but the original owner, Charles Wort, had an older history with Jackson Hole. He came to Jackson Hole in 1893 and operated what we call Signal Mountain Lodge from 1932 to 1940.
- Trapper Inn in Jackson is family owned and operated since 1970. It is one ½ blocks north of the Jackson Town Square.

Consider if the hotels offer off-street parking when you compare them. If they don't offer off-street parking, find out if they offer free shuttles back and forth between Teton Village and Jackson or the Jackson Airport (so you might go car rental free).
Besides the traditional hotels listed above, you have other accommodation options with your stay in Jackson Hole: Resorts, Lodges, Bed & Breakfasts, Country Inns, Condominium and Town home Rentals, Vacation Home Rentals, Hostels, Guest Ranches, and Tent & RV Camping.
